NWPAC Committees

 

STANDING COMMITTEES

 

Our bylaws mandate the use of a committee structure in which to operate. Standing committees make recommendations and propose resolutions to the whole of the PAC which are then voted on and adopted by the entire PAC. Click here for the a PDF of the committee assignments.

* Chair appoints members to Standing and Adhoc Committees; Members may also volunteer to serve on a committee or be placed on a committee by Chair
** Membership elected by PAC members; meets after Regular PAC meeting as called on by Chairperson
*** Standing Committees are listed in Bylaws and provide reports at the Regular PAC meeting as needed
**** This position is not mentioned in the bylaws but can be appointed by Chair per Robert Rules

ADHOC COMMITTEES

 

The chair may also appoint an Adhoc committee for the purpose of looking into one specific item or goal. Once the Adhoc committee has concluded its proceedings it is dissolved. For specifics regarding committees please consult our bylaws.

 

PAST ADHOC COMMITTEES

 

Adhoc Bylaws Revisions Committee (Created September 2008) Dissolved September 2009:

This committee chaired by Anita Jones, looked to ammend the bylas for contradictions within the bylaws to clear those up in relation to previous changes.  Further, their attempt to look at macro issues within the bylaws and make recommendations for the PAC in order to ammend the bylaws accordingly never came to fruition due to PAC member turnover.

 

Adhoc Goals Committee (Created September 2008) Dissolved May 2009:

This committee chaired by Robert Hampton set to make goals for the 2009-2010 fiscal year and to develop long term goals for the PAC in relation to redevelopment within the Project area.  No report due to PAC member turnover.

 

Adhoc SOP Committee (Created November 2006) Dissolved February 2007:

Appointed by Chair Hampton to review the way meetings are governed by our bylaws. Committee may recommend new procedures of how meetings are held. Tabled will present at February meeting.

 

Adhoc Structure Committee (Created November 2006) Dissolved February 2007:

Created by Chair Hampton to reevaluate how NWPAC is structured and to see if new recommendations comes to light to change the way NWPAC currently operates. Tabled will present at February meeting.

 

Adhoc SOP Planning and Development (Created January 2007) Dissolved Feb. 2007:

Created by Secretary Moreno acting as Chair during January meeting to develop procedures of how the Planning and Development report should be presented to NWPAC at the Regular Meeting. To present at February 2007 meeting.

 

Adhoc 5-year Implmentation Plan (Created April 2007) Dissolved September 2007:

During April meeting an adhoc committee was appointed to look at the 5-year Implementation plan for the Northwest Project Area and recommend changes for next 5-year plan. Chair of the committee is Anita Jones, members also include: member Beamon, member Stout and alternate member Riley.
