PREVIOUS PROJECTS
- Chair Moreno has appointed two adhoc
committees: One to look into the Bylaws and necessary revisions and another
to set goals for the PAC for the fiscal year and beyond
- Appointment of a Parliamentatian will be
discussed at our next meeting
- The Planning and Development subcommittee
continues to evaluate projects and make recommendations to the NWPAC
committee.
- Member Cumming will lead a discussion on
PBID's and whether we should as a PAC look into helping create one.

- The NWPAC is in the process of
preparing for a November or December election.
- New Election procedures were adopted
and the Election subcommittee is meeting to carry out its' duties according
to these new procedures.
- The Planning and Development
subcommittee continues to evaluate projects and make recommendations to the
NWPAC committee.

- An adhoc committee was appointed by
the Chair to look at the redevelopment plan for the Northwest Project Area.
- A proposed revision to the NWPAC
election procedures within the NWPAC bylaws.

- The SOP committee report was tabled in
January and will have a resolution to be voted on in February.
- A new adhoc committee to establish a
standard operating procedure for the Building & Finance committee is working
to have something for the February Meeting. Their first meeting will be held
on January 18th at 2:00 in Room 12 of the New Hope Family Life Center.

- Currently two Adhoc committees Chaired
by Secretary Moreno are underway and preparing to present a report and
resolutions at the Regular Monthly Meeting on
January 8th, 2007.
- The Adhoc Committee looking at the
Structure of the NWPAC is composed of Moreno, Vice-Chair Jones and Chair
Robert Hampton. As the Exec Board they will present information at the
January meeting to the NWPAC and actions will be decided by committee.
- The Standard Operating Procedure
Adhoc Committee composed of Moreno, Vice-Chair Anita Jones and Member
Delores Armstead are looking at how various City entities conduct meetings
and working to see if such rules are necessary for the NWPAC outside those
provided by the bylaws.

- NWPAC members donated a total of $210
for Thanksgiving baskets that were made for 8 families. The money raised
allowed Chair Hampton to purchase items from March Air Force Base. Items in
the baskets included canned goods, fresh potatoes, gravy, corn bread,
marshmallows, fresh yams, stuffing and a Turkey.
- Members who donated to the
Thanksgiving Drive include: Mary and Randolph Riley, Sandra Doyle, Ida
Newell, Dolores Armstead, Phillip Moreno and family, Samuel Washington,
Richard Mcinnis, Timothy Patchen and Robert Hampton
- Special thanks to Office Assistant,
Julienne Caldera for collecting monies, and putting together the baskets for
delivery and to the San Bern. P. D. & Code Enforcement for identifying needy
families.

At a meeting on November 13th, E.D.A.
Director, Maggie Pacheco indicated that the role of the NWPAC is to "advise
the City Council on matters related to redevelopment as it relates to
displacement of low to moderate income residents in the Northwest Project
Area."

At the next Executive Board meeting we
will discuss the NWPAC operating procedures and the stated purpose by E.D.A
Director, Pacheco as designated by the City Council.

The next Executive Board Meeting will be
held on November 30, 2006 in Room 12 at the New Hope Family Life Center at
12:10 p.m.
